Scotts Valley
We've reserved a block of rooms at the Four Points by Sheraton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley.
Wedding rate: $219/per room
Booking deadline: June 21, 2027
Group/block name or code: Clare & Dalton Wedding
We recommend booking your room as soon as you know your plans. There are several weddings in that area that day, and we'd love to have as many of our guests staying together as possible!
Staying at the Four Points will also make wedding-day transportation especially easy: our shuttle will pick up and drop off guests at the hotel.
Where to Stay
Getting to Felton
Flying
There are a few airports that can work for the wedding, but San Francisco International Airport (SFO) will probably be the easiest option for many of our guests. In particular, our international guests will likely find the most direct flight options into SFO.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
About 70 miles from Felton
Plan on roughly 1.5–2 hours by car, depending on traffic.
San José Mineta International Airport (SJC)
About 30 miles from Felton
Plan on roughly 45–60 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
Oakland International Airport (OAK)
Another option if you find a good flight or fare.
We recommend checking both SFO and SJC when you're booking your flights. SFO may have the better flight options or price, while SJC is considerably closer to Felton. There isn't a wrong choice!
Getting Around
Once you're in California, having a car will make your life much easier, especially if you want to explore while you're here.
From SFO or SJC, you'll eventually make your way toward Santa Cruz and then up into the mountains to Felton. The drive is beautiful, but the last stretch involves winding mountain roads—so don't be surprised if Google Maps says you're almost there and it still feels like you're driving through the forest!
Getting to the Wedding
Shuttles
We are excited to offer all guests free rides to the venue!
Sydalyn Hill has limited onsite parking, so those spaces for vendors and a select group of guests who have a specific need to park at the venue. If you have been designated for onsite parking, we'll let you know directly.
Before the ceremony
Shuttles will begin running one hour before the ceremony, giving everyone plenty of time to arrive, get settled, and enjoy the start of the celebration. After the wedding
The first shuttles will leave Sydalyn Hill after 7:30 PM, with return trips continuing throughout the evening.Afterparty at Monty's Log Cabin
For those keeping the party going, we'll have a shuttle running to and from Monty's Log Cabin after the wedding. Service will continue until midnight, so you can join us for a nightcap without worrying about driving.
We'll post the exact departure times and shuttle schedule as we get closer to August 7!
Parking
Leave the car at the hotel or the parking lot. We've got you covered!
For everyone else, we strongly encourage you to take the shuttle. You’ll have two easy options:
Four Points by Sheraton Scotts Valley
Our primary shuttle pickup location and the easiest option if you're staying at the hotel.St. John's Episcopal Church
If you're staying elsewhere or would prefer to drive, you can park at St. John's and catch the shuttle from there.
Most importantly, the shuttle means you can kick back and enjoy the night! Have a drink, stay on the dance floor, and don't worry about navigating winding mountain roads or choosing a designated driver. We'll get you there and get you home safely.
Unless we've told you otherwise, plan to leave your car at the hotel or St. John's and let us do the driving!
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft can be convenient for getting around Santa Cruz during your stay, but we strongly recommend against relying on rideshare apps for the wedding.
While you may be able to get a ride to Sydalyn Hill, finding an Uber or Lyft willing to come up to Felton for a late-night pickup can be nearly impossible.
Please plan to take the shuttle home from the wedding instead! It means you can relax, enjoy the open bar, and celebrate the night without worrying about getting stranded or finding a designated driver.
